A visit to Flora House is more than just finding a place to rest—it’s a chance to experience the charm and sophistication of a bygone era. Located in the heart of Denver’s oldest neighborhood, our lovingly restored 1892 Victorian mansion blends vintage elegance with modern comforts.

Owned and operated by Jen and her husband Leigh who purchased the existing Bed & Breakfast to renovate and make their own, Flora House was inspired by their love of travel, hospitality, and sustainable living.

Our Story

Flora House is the result of Jen and Leigh’s global adventures and dedication to creating something truly extraordinary that they hope will be a highlight of their guests' time in Denver.

During many years of frequent travel for work and adventure, Jen & Leigh developed a deep appreciation for the rare properties that managed to create a welcoming ‘home away from home’ for their guests. After their engagement in Sydney followed by an epic 9 months of backpacking across 26 countries before their wedding in New Zealand (Leigh’s home), the couple settled in Denver (Jen’s home).

In the decade that followed, they both finished careers in the wine business to pursue entrepreneurial dreams, including the renovation and revitalization of the Victorian mansion now known as Flora House Denver.

This stunning property has a timeless charm complete with soaring ceilings, ornate design and intricate woodwork along with a spacious private garden; a luxurious legacy from Denver’s Silver Boom era.

The couple spent eight months restoring the entire property and gardens, adding thoughtful touches that elevate the guest experience while preserving the home’s original grandeur.

Today, Flora House is a haven where vintage crystal lighting, leaded windows, ornate wood details, and little delights like fine china for daily breakfasts make every stay feel like an occasion.
